I wrote this a few years ago and decided to share it…. hope it brings some joy….
May I Be A Baby Again
May I be a baby again,
With playfulness and innocence in my heart
May I be a baby again
And giggle with laughter as I pull things apart.
May I play with my toes
And discover my nose
And wriggle on the floor
And yell with a roar!
May I be a baby again
And hold my little teddy bear tight!
May I be a baby again
And be protected by my parents at night!
May I look at the world with wonder!
Crawl around things, over, and under!
May I be a baby again!
There’s not a care in the day!
May I be a baby again!
I’ll be me! I’ll dance, sing and play!
Maybe I be a baby again but …
Oops! Oops! I wish I could say
Please change my diaper!
Please! Please! Right away!
